Artist Bio:
Menlo Park artist, Pamela Ritchey has had a variety of experiences in the art and design world that influence her current art.  After graduating with her B.A. in Art from Stanford University, she worked for the Anderson Family, giving tours of their amazing collection. She continued to incorporate her love of art as she worked designing costumes for Theaterworks of Silicon Valley.  While living In Oregon, she developed art programs for the city of Lake Oswego’s school district and was the education curator for their Festival of the Arts. Until recently, she shared her passion for art with others by teaching in both the Portland Metro Area and the  San Francisco Bay Area. Throughout her career, Pamela made time to create her own artwork. She has shown work in galleries and at Marylhurst College in Oregon. In 2019, her work was shown at Twin Pines Art Center, Belmont, and in 2022, at Woodside Priory, Portola Valley.

Artist Statement:
I have created collages inspired by nature and the elements of art. The creating is both additive and subtractive, layering and removing materials. I don’t have a finished product in mind; rather, it unfolds much like improvisation in theatre or music. I am at my best when I make time to create, and your interest in my work supports me in that endeavor.
