Dear Prospective Applicants,

To ensure we understand each applicant's academic abilities, I am excited to announce key updates for the 2025-2026 admissions process, specifically regarding standardized testing.

To guarantee the best fit for our students, we will be incorporating STAR testing into our application requirements. This well-established assessment will help us gauge a student's readiness and identify areas for support, aligning with our mission to foster individual growth.

STAR's adaptive tests provide comprehensive insights, assisting us in tailoring our educational approach from day one. Please note that test results are only one part of our holistic admissions process. If you would like us to share your results with another school using STAR testing simply send an email to the Admissions Office with the name and contact information of the school. If you take the STAR test at another school, you may share your results with us.

We recognize that testing can be stressful and welcome any questions you have. Our aim is to make admissions equitable and transparent, providing all necessary information to prospective families.

Our admission season formally opens on September 2nd. We invite you to create a Ravenna account and complete your biographical information to get started. Once our application goes live, you will be one of the first to know about the admission process for the 2025-2026 school year. Create your Ravenna account by clicking on the button to the right that says, "Create a Ravenna Account."

Application Process for Day Students

Step 1: Create your Ravenna Account

Priory uses an online application platform maintained by Ravenna. Families are strongly encouraged to set up and update their Ravenna profiles. Prospective families must have an active account to apply or sign up for any admission event. Click on the button in the upper right that says "Create a Ravenna Account." The admissions season begins with the opening of our application for the next school year in early September.
Step 2: Learn about Priory through On-Campus Events

We encourage prospective families to attend events to help them understand whether Priory fits their child. Except where explicitly noted, attendance at admission events is optional.

Step 3: Complete your Admission Application in Ravenna
Once you have created your Ravenna account, you are ready to begin your application. All requirements are completed through Ravenna, including:
1. Complete the Application Form (biographical information)
2. Submit your Application Fee
3. Complete the Parent Supplement (short essay questions completed by parents/guardians).
4. Complete the Student Supplement (essay questions completed by student/applicant)
5. Email requests for Teacher Recommendations (through Ravenna)
6. Send Transcript Release forms to your current school
7. Sign up and complete STAR testing on campus.
The deadline for the 2025-2026 school year is January 9, 2025.

If you intend to apply for financial aid, the deadline is also January 9, 2025. Please visit the Financial Aid page for more information and guidance.
Step 4: Sign-Up for an Interview

The final step of the application process is an interview. Our middle school applicants will participate in a group activity with a member of our teaching faculty. Our high school applicants will have a 1:1 interview in which they will get to share more about their interests and aspirations.

December 20, 2024 - Early Boarding Application Deadline (Offers released on February 5th with commitments due February 19th)
January 9, 2025 - Application due for Day and Standard Boarding programs
February 5, 2025 - Early Boarding Decisions Released
March 14, 2025 - Standard Boarding Student Decisions released through Ravenna
March 21, 2025 - Day Student Decisions released through Ravenna
March 28, 2025 - All Enrollment Agreement and Deposits for New Families Due (Except Early Residential Decisions)
